Duo with Katrin Plümer, Flute
Katrin Plümer, born in Herford, studied flute, pedagogics of music, and ecclesiastical music at ‘Hochschule der Künste’ in Berlin. In 1994 she was awarded the prize for chamber-music of ‘Hochschule der Künste’. Master courses with Aurèle Nicolet, Renate Greiss-Arnim, Eckhard Haupt, Carin Levine, and Kathinka Pasveer accomplished her musical training. Since 2001 she busied herself with the music of Karlheinz Stockhausen and attended his summer courses. There back in 2003 she performed as soloist for the first time in a concert by the composer. In 2004 she directed a soirée for solo with his works. Tours with orchestra-, opera-, and chamber-music-productions led her to many European countries, to Korea and Hong Kong. Since some time one her chamber-music partners is Joachim Gies, with whom she discovered an exciting, almost experimental world of sound.
