With their duo IMPULSES/ SOUND/ SPACE, Ravi Srinivasan and Joachim Gies invite the listener to embark on a journey to the inner world of sound, connecting impulses of motion and space. A sort of inner film sound-track is developed: rapid sequences of musical impulses and scraps of sound contrast with calm lines of austere serenity, coaxing the listener to explore the realms of their own inner sounds. An imaginary world of subtle and filigree sounds.
Ravi Srinivasan, born in Singapore, studied the violin and the classicl Indian tabla drums.
